This packet includes the DEM files and the original IFF image
that was the source image, as described in the Joel Hagen method
from the Amiga World article.(Feb '92):
(IFF pic > ScapeMaker => DEM => Scenery Animator/VistaPro)
Source Pics: DEM Files: Rendered VistaPro frame:
DeMap.03.pic DeMap.03.DEM vista.03.pic
DeMap.03.pic DeMap.05.DEM vista.05.pic
DeMap.05.DEM is based on different color information than
DeMap.03.DEM. I didn't like the resulting pallette that seemed to
result from the DPaint default palette. So I loaded a stock DEM
file into VistaPro and output its color info with COL>IFF, which
I then loaded into DeMap.03.DEM, and saved this out as
DeMap.05.DEM.
In VistaPro this all results in significantly different looking
landscape pictures. You might not even see any difference at all
in Scenery Animator.
Let me know if it makes a difference. I have SA, but haven't had
the time to check it out.
Good Luck
Thom (cisco) Pike
